Sadly, "Fatuous & Furious" leaves Cirque du GOP, and heads back to New Jersey show

One of the greatest disappointments in this season's Cirque du GOP was the rather hasty exit of Chris Christie, better know by his professional show name "Fatuous & Furious."  Once thought to be the headline clown act for the 2016 tour, he seriously damaged his professional reputation even before joining Cirque du GOP with a widely panned novelty act he began using in his New Jersey circus where he stopped traffic on the George Washington Bridge while juggling construction cones.

Compounding his troubles, his headline tenure on the national Cirque du GOP circuit was short-lived, and ended almost as soon as it began when Donald Trump joined the circus last summer.

Not to be entirely deterred, Christie turned in a couple of energetic performances in during several of the Cirque du GOP's signature clown cage match competitions, saving his best performance for his last one. His takedown of then circus ringmaster "Kid Marco" Rubio last Saturday in Manchester, New Hamsphire will be remembered for years to come as a legendary performance.

His announcement today that he is leaving the national Cirque du GOP and returning to his New Jersey show was universally expected after a dismal rating in the New Hampshire Big Tent main event yesterday where he was completely overshadowed by Donald Trump.

He will be missed by all connoisseurs of great clown acts.
