Huckabee can destroy JEB! and the neocons' dreams in 2016, but never as a Republican nominee

National Interest has an interesting article entitled, "Mike Huckabee's message is as formidable as Jeb Bush's money."  Delusional wishful thinking as far as the internal politics of the neocon-run Republican Party goes, where Huckabee has zero chance of being a major player, let alone the presidential nominee.  But the article does make one powerful indirect implication:  Mike Huckabee, if he is willing, can run next year as an independent after he is humiliated by the crony business wing of the GOP who despise him and his populist rhetoric.  If he dares serve his country in that way, he can reek holy havoc on the neocon's imperialist dreams for a third Bush presidency and a profitable war against Iran. He is on record saying he will become an independent (short of saying he will run for president as one) if the Republicans, to his understanding, "cave" on gay marriage.  That is now almost a certainty with Anthony Kennedy set in June to legalize gay marriage nationwide from the Supreme Court bench, and JEB! likely to pick Ohio Senator Rob Portman, an early and vocal supporter of gay marriage, as his running mate. Will Huckabee do it?  Doubtful, but if you don't want another Bush in the White House enriching the speculator class, bankrupting the federal treasury, and destroying the military with more unwinnable wars for profit, you will take help from almost any quarter.
