If Kasich runs, Karl Rove will have his hands full

Now we are getting word that John Kasich may jump into the GOP presidential center ring, and take a big Jumbo dump on JEB!'s parade.  And it would be a big one that will make Karl Rove's life difficult.

Karl & Co. already have to craft a character assassination and dirty trick strategy to dispatch Scott Walker and Marco Rubio (assuming JEB! really is running), and if Kasich gets in, they will have to marginalize  a more formidable Kasich as well.  This is really problematic, because destroying Kasich would eliminate him as a potential running mate for the Crown Prince.  JEB! must pick an Ohioan in order to play out his electoral strategy. Rob Portman would be the obvious favorite. He is a colorless, bland neocon Senator who could never upstage Bush, and very openly in favor of gay marriage, yet between him and Kasich, Portman would be the clearly weaker option in an election.  It may be the only option for the Crown Prince if Kasich runs.
